Remember The Milk puts some other to-do lists to shame
By Bla1ze on 29 Apr 2013 10:12 pm 4 4 69Looking for the ultimate to-do list? Remember The Milk is known for being just that and it has now arrived on the BlackBerry 10 platform. For the uninitiated, Remember The Milk offers a ton of features that other to-do lists just can't accomplish. It's pretty much a to-do list that knows no bounds when it comes to helping you get organized. The app is free to download and free to use with an account, so let's look at short list of the features:
Manage tasks quickly and easily - An intuitive interface makes managing tasks fun. Set due dates easily with next Friday or in 2 weeks. Extensive keyboard shortcuts make task management quicker than ever.Organize the way you want to - Are you a list lover? Create as many lists as you need. Into tagging? Use the task cloud to easily see what you have to do. Want to store notes along with your tasks? You can do that too.Plan your time - See what's due today and tomorrow, and the things you've missed. Prioritize, estimate your time, and postpone with ease. Set tasks to repeat every week or after 2 months.Work together to get things done - Share, send and publish tasks and lists with your contacts or the world. Remind your significant other to do their household chores.Locate your tasks - Use the map to see where your tasks are located in the real world. See what's nearby or on your way, and plan the best way to get things done. For free accounts, syncing of tasks and notes only occurs once every 24 hours but there is a pro account to choose from that offers plenty more, should you find you need it. If you're worried about it being an Android port, don't be. Remember The Milk runs beautifully on BlackBerry 10 and through my initial testing, everything synced up nicely. I know there is plenty of folks out there who've been waiting for this app to arrive. Remember The Milk is available in all countries and is listed as being compatible for both the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10.

Reply Flip4Bytes 1 day agoPlease make links like this clickable from within the CB10 app if at all possible. In order for me to view it, i had to share your comment with a BBM contact, and then select and copy, then paste the link into my browser (was a pain) :P
Btw, thanks for the link to the Android version of the app!

Reply sk8er_tor 21 hours agoI'm on a PC and it's not clickable for me either.

Reply stevepar 1 day agoI miss Tasks from my 9900, but need to be able to pick a "time " not just a day. I just downloaded it, but don't see a time option

Reply Supa_Fly1 1 day agoI LOVED that application. Take note developers that this application is open-sourced now on Github so please refine this app, improve upon it and make it available for BB10 ASAP!!
I feel this is a much better app and appropriately named better than remember the milk (many people no longer drink milk so in their minds remembering which app is there Task List app is not going to be easy initially lol)
Reply Graheem 17 hours agoyou're right... time needs to be added.
Reply calicocat2010 1 day agoSo will this app include reoccurances or settings
Posted via CB10
Reply calicocat2010 1 day agoSo will this app eventually have reoccurances such as every month or year? This app would work well if I could reoccur my bill dates. I downloaded it but I don't know what the PRO features.

Reply Baconwich 1 day agoDid I read the description right? Are reminders a "pro" feature?
What good is a to do app without reminders?

Reply MatthewMk2 1 day agoNo, I should be worried. I didn't buy a BlackBerry to end up using fucking Android apps. If I'd known how many apps were going to be ports I'd have waited a few more weeks and bought an HTC One instead of a Z10. Maybe it's not to late to return it. Fucking Android ports.
Reply BerryRipe 1 day agoYeah you may want to just do that with your bad self.
Reply grant.palin 1 day agoHoly cow. I've been hurting for an RTM app for BlackBerry for a long time. I know about the MilkSync app for BB7 and older, but it wasn't a real app, and was limited to the capability of the built-in Tasks app. This is progress, even if it's the Android version. I am a little surprised that it isn't also available for the Playbook, yet anyway. Wonder if that's a limitation of the Playbook OS or Android runtime, or maybe pending tuning for the form factor.
Reply 06kingranch 1 day agoI side loaded it on my PlayBook and it works great.

Reply grant.palin 1 day agoYa I know that RTM released a new Android version recently. Was meaning to try sideloading it on my Z10 and Playbook, now only needed for the PB I guess.
Reply hamletz90 1 day agoHow does this compare with BlackBerry Remember?
Reply BerryWife 1 day agoSomeone here told me about BBM group lists an I use that now. I need quick sync to share a list with hubby in a divide and conquer trip.

Reply 00stryder 1 day agoIt works in Verizon phones running 10.1 (i.e. The leak). I thought this was the same app as "Out of Milk" that I think Adam profiled a while back, but not exactly. Hoping that app gets official support in BB World soon.
Posted via CB10 & loving it!
Reply dosto 1 day agoThis is fantastic news. I still haven't settled on my main task management app for BB10, but this gives me another viable option.
Posted via CB10
Reply kozmo68 1 day agoI'm like you, I've also been trying out a number of them hoping one sticks. I am finding that I'm using remember more and more recently.
Posted via CB10
Reply dosto 20 hours agoI like the Remember app, and would love to use it as my main tasks list, but backup concerns me. How do you backup your data? Obviously, Remember syncs with Evernote, but that only works with notes and does not support Due Dates (as of yet).
Reply AlwaysSmile 1 day agoAnd this is a android port...
Posted via CB10
Reply kozmo68 1 day agoI'm not a big android port fan, but when they're well done and working smoothly like this one I'll definitely use them until native alternative comes along. Just started using this one and so far I can't find anything negative other then it's not native.

Reply stuartmurden 1 day agoI use a RTM a lot, It works well via twitter actually. All installs fine, login fine and pretty similar to iphone app.... so far a good addition to the 'tool not toy' arsenal.
Reply artie 1 day agoOh no, another port. Give us some native apps.
Thank you any way.
Is it just me or does this have some BlackBerry "Flow" to it, in its user interface? I'll give it a try.
Posted via CB10
Reply steelers80 1 day agoA week...2 max...After 2 weeks it would be another 2 weeks...the craziness doesn't end...This device is a brick...made a big mistake by buying the z10...NOTHING special about it...mother than making the buyers beg for Android apps

Reply slomo408 23 hours agoYou Sir, are ridiculous.
Reply ofutur 1 day agoJust remember that it's as bad as Evernote in terms of security. Don't be surprised if you find your lists on forums or on IRC :)
Reply joesworld 1 day agoAnyone compare this to OurGroceries? I use that for our family shopping lists but don't know if this would be a better alternative. The 24hr sync time for free accounts is a turn off though, and in general I don't like to support android ports by paying for them since they usually seem to put less than 5 minutes of effort into it.
Reply niss63 22 hours agoAs a list application, Our Groceries beats RTM, hands down. Cross platform list sharing on real time with a group you specify is hard to beat.
Posted via CB10
Reply CJH_ 22 hours agoWell said.
Posted via CB10
Reply Graheem 17 hours agoYes, I've looked at a few list apps, and Our Groceries works for me. I can use the BB's baked apps for the rest (tasks etc). The ease, instant sync, and cross platform capabilities of the sideloaded Our Groceries is great.
Reply zeoswj 1 day agoVery good app

Reply koolrosh 23 hours agoThough it is an android port, the UI and navigation is very consistent with BlackBerry 10

Posted via CB10
Reply timmycanfly 22 hours agoI was really thrilled to see this one pop up on BBW. It is probably the best functioning android port I've seen.
Posted via CB10
Reply CJH_ 22 hours agoAt the end of the day, regardless of how smoothly RTM runs under BB10, it's still a a repackaged Android app.
Until BlackBerry fix the "Other Data", I'm taking a stand against non-native apps.
It's bad enough BlackBerry shipping the Q10 with Skype installed.
Posted via CB10
Reply niss63 22 hours agoNo reminders is a deal breaker for me. No way I'll pay money to see if the reminder system works for me.
Not an android port hater, but this should have been native if they really want to capture market share.
Right now, Astrid side loaded is a better app for task management.

Reply Camelhmpz 22 hours agoDamn Verizon os version again.
Posted via CB10
Reply sk8er_tor 21 hours agoThanks but no thanks. No Android ports on my phone. I only wish BB World would indicate when an app is an Android port.
Reply Rub3n5 21 hours agoAnyone else annoyed with all these Android ports? Honestly... they run no where close to as smoothly as native apps despite the fact that they do "work".
I feel like we are just getting ripped off.
Reply ImBerryAddicted 21 hours agoI'm with you on that one. It was a great idea to enable Android ports because we're getting access to Apps we otherwise wouldn't have. On the other hand, many developers will take the easy way out and simply use an Android port to deploy their app... Sucks.
Reply DaffleJon23 19 hours agoBrilliant app :D
Reply GeniusJ 16 hours agoHow many "To Do List " apps can there be? I'm honestly good with Remember. Miss me with the Android ports.
Posted via CB10
Reply benmhall 14 hours agoI used to be a premium RTM customer when it would sync with BlackBerry 7 and the other devices I switched between. Now I just use the amazing Remember app and am happy. The Z10 is so good that I don't switch phones constantly, and Remember does far more than RTM and Tasks did.
RTM was too late getting here and I've moved on.
