Broadbeach masseur Wikom Armornwilas is on trial in the Southport District Court charged with unlawful and indecent assault.
Yesterday the jury was told an Adelaide financial planner paid $35 for a basic massage at Miracle Massage in Pacific Fair on August 12 last year. However, he got more than he expected after nodding off.
Crown prosecutor Judy Geary said the man woke to find his face covered with a towel and realised the masseur was using his mouth and hands to sexually stimulate him.
She said he sat up shocked and realised his underpants had been pulled down and more than an hour had passed since he arrived.
The jury was told that when the tourist jumped up and ran out the door, the masseur allegedly said: "Sorry it wasn't your type of thing."
The man gave evidence in closed court yesterday before his mother and his girlfriend of two years gave evidence.
Both told the jury the man had called them in shock that night and explained he had been raped.
The girlfriend cried as she recalled her boyfriend's telephone call that night.
"He said he visited a massage parlour that he had been to before and he must have fallen asleep because when he woke up ... the man [had] his head on his penis and all of that stuff," she said.
"He said he just fled because he was in shock himself."
The man's mother said she advised him to report the incident to police, which he did.
Under cross-examination by barrister David Funch, the mother agreed her son said that he had woken up and confronted Armornwilas and said: "What are you doing, get away from me."
An investigating detective told the jury DNA swabs were taken on the massage table and towels in the massage room but no samples matched the Adelaide man's DNA.
The trial continues today.
