THE Hedges Ave beachfront home of Gold Coast property identity Chris Buist will go on the auction block next month -- in a renewed push to sell the house, which was first advertised nine months ago.

The Hamptons-inspired beachfront home, which has ocean views from every room and three ensuites, was advertised in June for $5.97 million with Ray White Broadbeach.

But, when a deal could not be done within three months, Mr Buist switched agents and listed 99 Hedges Ave with McGrath's Ron London.

It was advertised at more than $5.4 million and McGrath also tried to lure a buyer over the line with an expressions of interest campaign

However a contract could not be negotiated for the price Mr Buist wanted.

Mr Buist, who intends to move to Sydney, will take the property to auction on March 16.

The last home sold on Hedges Ave was the house of troubled Coast developer Bruce Tilley, for $5 million this year.
