During Sunday night’s loss to the Seahawks, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis suffered a hamstring injury. The 49ers have exercised their prerogative to say nothing about the player’s condition until the 49ers have to say something about the player’s condition.
Davis has chosen a different approach.
“No need to worry y’all,” Davis tweeted overnight. “My leg is feeling great just need a little rest til kickoff according to the docs.”
That could mean he won’t practice much if at all this week, as the 49ers prepare to host the Colts. But it also sounds like Davis will play.
Starting today, the 49ers will issue injury reports regarding whether and to what extent Davis will practice. Come Friday, they’ll apply a label to him regarding the likelihood he’ll play on Sunday.
