SUBSCRIBER - Transfer Station Labourer - Beaverlodge, AB (10081) , Alberta

Position Summary:

The Transfer Station Labourer is responsible for day-to-day duties on site needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site.  This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the site team.

Responsibilities:

•Physical tasks, including digging, sweeping, sampling, lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials

•Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment

•Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping

•Ensure safety fences / markings are all in place

•Notify supervisor and or repair shop of any required work to be done

Qualifications:

Technical:

•Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment

•Must have an understanding of all power and small tools

•Have the ability to work long hours and overtime in various weather conditions

•Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materials

•Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner

•Fit-for-Work each day

Interpersonal: 

•Ability to communicate effectively and express thoughts and ideas in a clear  manner

•Good listening skills along with ability to accept and follow direction

•Ability to work well in a team environment or independently as required

•Open and honest with team members as it relates to all aspects of the work

•Maintain a positive attitude in all aspects of work along with a desire to continue to learn
